Bjarte Bogsnes is Statoil’s Vice President Performance Management Development and Chairman of Beyond Budgeting Roundtable Europe. He is an exceptional leader, expected speaker in many conferences all over the world, who has conducted daring and innovative changes of performance management and budgeting in two major companies – Statoil and Borealis. Under his leadership, traditional budgeting was replaced with more flexible, adaptive and continuous management processes. The seminar is going to be mainly on those innovative management processes and with an introduction to Beyond Budgeting principles:
— dynamic and rolling forecasting, event-driven forecasting;
— continuous action planning;
— flexible resource allocating;
— goal setting and defining;
— an introduction to Beyond Budgeting principles.
Bjarte Bogsnes and his story on the changes of Statoil’s management model, were awarded with the Management Innovation prize by Harvard Business Review & McKinsey in 2012 (in category „The Beyond Bureaucracy Challenge“).
